Updates from the Principal Advisory Council

From the VP of Student Life

Classification update:

After a long discernment process, which included conversation with the athletic department, school administration, and partner schools, Bellarmine will remain a member of the 4A SPSL for the next enrollment cycle (2020-2024). The decision was based on three main criteria, ranked in order of importance:

  1. Servicing all our programs
  2. Transportation/time out of class
  3. Competitiveness of the league

The SPSL will be a 10-team league. Some of our sports will have two five team divisions, while others will keep the 10-team model. We will keep you updated on how the league will be structured. I want to thank everyone involved in helping us gather information and their thoughts on the future of Bellarmine athletics.

Family ID:

We will be moving to an online registration for Spring Sports using Family ID. All students must be cleared through Family ID prior to March 2. We will begin that online clearance with an email blast to all families and consistent communication through all our platforms.

Co-Curricular Upcoming Events:

The Spring Musical “Once upon a Mattress” starts March 12 and runs through March 22. Make sure to get out and see What is sure to be a great show.

Robotics is beginning their competitions season. The Robot reveal is set for February 22 in the Connelly Center.
